How do I edit my dating profile?

Go to profile editing to update structured profile fields such as interests, relationship goals, location, occupation, education, and visibility.

Why are many profile fields option-based?

DateKin limits free-text fields to reduce spam, phone numbers, email addresses, and off-platform contact sharing inside profiles.

Discovery, Likes, And Matches

How does discovery work?

Discovery shows visible profiles, excluding your own profile and users blocked by either side. Filters help narrow by gender, age, location, and relationship goal.

How do matches happen?

A match is created when two users like each other. Matching can happen before either user pays.

Do free users have like limits?

Yes. Free users have a daily like limit. Premium and VIP plans can unlock higher limits and more discovery benefits.

Messaging And Payments

Can free users send one-to-one messages?

No. Free users can browse, like, and match, but direct one-to-one messaging is reserved for Premium and VIP users.

Why is messaging paid?

Messaging is DateKin's main monetisation point. It lets users prove interest through matching first, then upgrade when they are ready to chat.

Version 1 uses Premium and VIP subscriptions. Token or credit packs may be added later for limited messages, boosts, or premium introductions.
